 About us
American Financial Health Center (AFHC) was organized as a Utah nonprofit corporation in August 2007. As our name implies, the Center’s primary purpose is to provide consumers with general educational resources to promote individual financial health and preparedness. We strongly believe in our slogan: “Good financial health pays!”
AFHC is the brainchild of Mr. Dennis Dunn, founder and president of Mountain High Federal Credit Union of Provo, Utah, and a 30 year veteran of the financial services industry. Mr. Dunn is a long-time advocate of education as a means of preventing the financial mistakes and misjudgments that are so costly to consumers. In fact, one of his favorite quotations comes from Derek Bok, formerly president of Harvard University: “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.”
Membership in AFHC is open to everyone who demonstrates an interest in the work of the Center by applying for membership and tendering annual membership dues of $2.00.
